Join us August 27th-30th in Bloomington, Indiana for a small private men’s retreat where we will have an opportunity to work with master plant teachers to reset, harmonize our energies within, and connect to deeper levels of truth and integrity in a safe space where we give ourselves permission to go deep within and do the work together.

Men will arrive on the evening of August 27th, where we will have an opening sharing circle to orient to our time together and begin to dive into our reasons for being here with one another. Once we’ve acquainted ourselves with each other, the home and the land, we will share a dinner together and get an early sleep in preparation for our first ceremony the next morning.

On August 28th we will gather early in the AM to work with the frog medicine of Kambô. Kambô is known to be one of strongest natural ways to fortify the immune system, and one of nature’s most powerful anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antibiotic, and antiparasitic substances. A powerful purgative, Kambô flushes the colon, liver, gall bladder, kidneys & lymphatic system. It boosts white blood cell count and can be very effective in healing addiction, depression, trauma, fertility, blood circulation, chronic pain, tendonitis, and skin conditions, among other things. After the Kambô treatment, we will spend the day relaxing in nature and moving through some specific embodiment exercises. This will include a structured council where we are able to open up deeper layers of conversation and vulnerability, as well teachings on how to work with a tobacco pipe (each man will be gifted his own pipe and tobacco).

Then on August 29th will be working with the Grandfather medicine of Huachuma - the sacred cactus of the Andes. This medicine creates powerful healing and clarity at all levels, while opening the heart to the beauty of life and offering a higher perspective that empowers the individual to take inspired action in their life. We will working all day with this medicine and spend most of our day outside on the land, connecting with nature and making offerings and prayers to the land and connecting with one another through specific embodiment exercises I have received over the years of working with this medicine. As day turns to night, we will transition into an evening of ecstatic dance live DJed by David (Deva Runa), followed by a fire ceremony and opportunity for all to be witnessed in their prayers. This cactus comes from the Sacred Valley of Peru and is grown seed to cactus for 7-9 years by my teachers. Then I take the cactus and cook it down for 5 days; removing all of the plant matter and concentrating it into a tea (making it very easy to drink, reducing nausea and making it stronger). It is extremely potent and beautiful medicine and unlike other Huachuma you have had before when in this form, and I am honored and privileged to share it with you.

On August 30th we will wake up for breakfast and morning sharing circle, along with some integration exercises in the afternoon, before we close out our time together.

ABOUT THE WORK

Men’s work allows us to go deep together, in the safety and presence of other men. It can be extremely vulnerable and things are shared which perhaps are unknown by partners, siblings, parents and other men. This impeccable field of trust is absolutely paramount to this work and we ask that only men who are committed to showing up with 100% of their hearts come forward into this circle. This only works if we all work together. We require all men to show up fully and in vulnerability and willingness to go deep. This field of safety is created through mutual trust between both us and the field of participants, and so all work that is done within this container is absolutely private and held within the bond of brothers. You must agree to keep this work and what happens within the container we create this weekend and only within this group, not sharing outside the confines of this circle of men.
